So looks like things are looking up for me... and down in other ways. I might have a boyfriend, not sure, but I like him a lot. Also, I had a great time at Winter Ball last night, and the sore hips to prove it. Two thumbs up. On the down side, I have a Chemistry test on Monday that I'm almost positive I'm going to fail. I'm pretty far behind on my homework, too.
Would that be one thumb up and one thumb down?

Happy Thanksgiving.
I tried best I could to recreate the image from my dream. Trust me, it was a ton cooler than that and a lot more beautiful, but my abilities are limited with GIMP. XPMy dream took place in my back yard, and I was holding a secret meeting with a few of my friends, can't remember what for. While they argued, I spaced out, and happened to look up at the sky. There were six moons and the brightest stars visible through a hole in the swirling amber and royal blue clouds, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It seemed like there was some reflection thing going on and that the five copies of the moon were just an illusion, and I pointed up and the sky and everyone looked.
Then I commented that I was thankful for beauty and the five working senses that I possessed for savoring it. It was, after all, the morning of Thanksgiving when I had this dream.

Ho, lyk scrap, ah?
I did something stupid! I called a moke (definition here for haoles) girl a bitch, and that's really not something you want to do. It was kind of on accident, because I thought she was talking to me, and I was offended because I didn't do anything to her.
So yeah, I'm smart... and I skipped school on Friday because I didn't want to get beat up. She was calling me out for a scrap while I walked away. Lesson learned: grin and bear it, and don't retort.
In other, happier news where I'm not a total idiot, I enjoy this picture.
Mahina and Grace, taken by Nicole.
Such gorgeous women :).

Jumping for joy.
Picture taken by Nicole at my house. :)Click here for an amazing song that Nicole and I took a month to find after hearing on the radio. We found out that the reason we couldn't find it online was because it's local! I know, right! Local music is never good.

I've got a whale of a tail.
This was our day at the library, with Nicole's amazing new glasses that match Ian's. I wish I had bad eyes so I could wear these. There was also a pencil dispenser, 25 cents each. I was disappointed with the first, so I got a second. I used to spend all my quarters on them in Kindergarten and tell my parents a kid on the bus named Kyle took them from me.
We also nabbed some more temporary tattoos from Mokupapapa because we're cool like that.

Picnic and other shenanegins.

Well we had a picnic today. A grand picnic. On the edge of a crater, with many gay people and much food and merriment. Gay as in happy. I should have taken a picture of the sky, it was beautiful today. But, alas, I did not bring my camera.
So.
My best friend got a boyfriend. :D:D:D:D:D You have no idea how much I squealed. Pretty psyched about that. He was at the picnic, too. He and Mahina and Nash and I. And I tried to get Hunter to come, but he decided to be a homo and not.
The picture is of Nicole and me in the Thurston lava tube, and although it wasn't from today, we were there again.

Cool cat.

I've been back home for about a week.So I'm trying to be cool and mess with images with GIMP, haha. I've been playing around with that today, and here's what I've come up with.
I especially like the first one with the tomato. The berries are ohelo berries. Also featured is my beautiful cat Cinder. :)
Also, you can click on the pictures to see bigger versions.
I got that necklace in Duluth, MN at an antique store for $2. Can't beat that.

In which I migrate to the North.

I'm leaving today to Virginia for a week, then Minnesota for a week, then coming back home to Hawaii. I have to pack still, and I only have three hours left. Uh-oh.
So, adios, amigos! I'll leave you with a picture of what I think is a "Daddy Long-Legs" spider, which I found on Father's Day. How appropriate! :)

RAmen to that.
Maybe I should just convert from Atheism to Pastafarianism, or the belief that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe. If He sends me a sign, manifests His presence, graces me with the touch of his noodly appendage, I will believe!

Cinco de Mayo!

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I made an omelette. Actually, I made an omelette just to make an omelette. I piled on random shenanegins from the fridge: onions, artichoke hearts, parsley, and mozerella. Sounds funky, but it turned out pretty good. Observe my pre-tasting skeptical face. :D

Today is also my BEST FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY! Sweet sixteen. Except not so sweet, because she moved to Nebraska, so I can't share it with her. I miss you, Alena! <3
In which I am enlightened.

I'm skipping school today! Fun. I am actually a little bit sick, though. I'll just ham it up for the 'rents. :)
In completely unrelated business, I think my piano teacher is all-knowing. Every time I have a (usually relationship-related) problem, even when I don't tell her about it, she manages to give me advice that relates exactly to it. It's uncanny. I never forget Lila's tidbits of knowledge. So, here they are:
- When you're most desperate for a relationship, it won't work out. I've found this to be very true.
- Once during a particularly beautiful section of a piano piece, she told me to think of something heartbreakingly sad, but that I've come to accept. That was, strangely enough, exactly the stage and mood I was in right then, and I played that part perfectly and emotionally.
- And just last night, she told me that in a relationship, it's always that one person loves the other more. And if you can find someone who you love equally as much as they love you, then hold on to them.
It's not like I have relationship problems all the time, and when she just happens to give advice, it slightly relates to my situation. In nine or so years it has only occurred three times, when I'm at my lowest, in a trough, and I'm in dire need of the exact words she says. We also share a birthday :O. Eerie...
Maybe I should follow her advice on Maya Gold chocolate bars as well: eat them after they've softened up in the car a bit. :)

Passion?
I am insanely jealous of those who know what to do with their lives. How could anyone dedicate their time and efforts to one specific goal? I don't want to be a martyr for my beliefs; I could be wrong. I don't want to be a doctor, a lawyer, a musician, the president, a veteranarian, or a photographer. I don't know what to do with myself. I am a sophomore in high school, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much about these things, but I only have two more years until I have to start making the decisions that will determine my path in life. Meow.
Here's an amazing LEGO sculpture for you. It was created by a man who left his blooming career as a lawyer to pursue his passion for LEGOs. Now that's what I want: a passion so immense that I would leave a promising, high-paying career for it.
